Shellfish can be kept alive for several days in the refrigerator. The best way is to simply put them into a flat container and keep them covered with a wet cloth. also make sure it is not in a particular spot in the fridge that is the coldest and which may freeze shellfish.You can wet the cloth if it starts to dry. Shellfish may open but will close once handled . Give them a few minutes. If they don't close don't use them.
