1 baguette

6 tbsp butter

6 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

1  tbsp salt, kosher or rough sea salt

6 cloves garlic, minced

pepper to taste

Melt butter, add olive oil, salt and pepper.

Cut baguette into 1 inch cubes or thin slices if you prefer.

With a hand blender mix the olive oil, garlic, butter and salt and pour into quart sized zip lock bag. Add the cubed or sliced bread and toss well. A tip here is to blow up the bag like a balloon to allow very simple and thorough tossing.

Spread in one even layer on a baking sheet (preferably on a rack) and place in pre-heated oven at 350 for 12 minutes. After 10 minutes check and if not to your satisfaction check thereafter every three minutes.
