Hot and Sour Soup

4 ounces boneless pork loin, shredded

4 ounces chicken fillets, shredded

2 dried Chinese dried black mushrooms

1/2 block of bean curd or Tofu, cut into 1/2 inch cubes

1 tbsp hot chile oil

1/4 cup white vinegar

1 Tbs. light soy sauce

1 Tbs. sugar

1 Tbs. dark soy sauce*

1 tsp. kosher salt

2 Tbs. corn flour, mixed with 2 Tbs. of cold water

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp sesame oil

8 cups water or chicken stock

Soak mushrooms in hot water for 15 minutes. Drain and shred

Boil water or chicken broth , add pork, chicken and mushrooms and boil for an additional 10 minutes

Add beancurd, chile oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and soy sauce. Boil and additional 2 minutes

Add cornflour mixture and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly and boil for 1 minute

Add egg, stirring constantly while adding

Serve immediately
