.5 fluid ounces of simple syrup
5 fluid ounces of Rye whiskey
5 dashes of angustura bitters
5 cocktail cherries
Rind from one orange
Combine syrup, whiskey and bitters overnight in freezer or over ice in 5 batches in a cocktail tumbler
Add cherry to bottom of glass
Pour 2 ounces of mixture into glass
squeeze a piece of orange over glass and add to cocktail.
Serve
