Cherry Tomato and Balsamic Vinegar Salad

3 cups halved cherry tomatoes (or heirloom)

3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

salt & pepper to taste

1 1/2 cups croutons (or focaccio or rustic bread slice)

1/4 cup finely chopped basil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 1/2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Toss halved cherry tomatoes with salt, pepper, garlic, oil and balsamic vinegar and set aside for 20 minutes. 

Before serving toss with croutons.
